Venita Joy Minor, 73, passed away in Abilene, on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 10, 2020 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South.
Venita was born October 24, 1946 in Crane, Texas and was raised in west texas. She later moved to Abilene, Texas and married Cliff Minor on December 4, 1973. Venita never met a stranger and was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. She loved everyone, especially her family, with her whole heart and unconditionally. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Minor; her daughter, Gayla Mallard; her parents, Susie and John Krawczykowski; and her in-laws, Wallace and Mary Odem.
Venita is survived by four children, LaDonna Lenamon and her husband John, Lori Minor, Calvin Minor, and Sephrina Minor; her grandchildren, Donnie Mallard and his wife Amber, Santana Mallard, Chassidy Mallard, Heather Mallard, Casey McCormick, Tabitha McCormick, Alexis Allen, Dougie Jackson, Cassius Culberson, and Andrew Bilger; eight great grandchildren, her brother, Larry Caldwell and his wife Becky; and several nieces, nephews, and friends that she considered family.
