Terry Moore, 81, passed away March 12, 2021 in Abilene. His memorial service will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene.
Terry was born January 20, 1940 in Orleans, Michigan to parents, Cleo Leroy and Ethel Temperance Moore. He grew up and attended school in Michigan before enlisting into the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base and made Abilene his lifelong home after his separation from the military. While stationed in Abilene he met
Sue at the five & dime and soon married her in 1958. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage until her passing in 2015. He worked as an insurance adjuster for most of his career.
He enjoyed singing and playing guitar and always had the dream of "going on the road" singing. He was a sportsman and enjoyed riding motorcycles, shooting guns, and hanging out at the lake. Most of all he thoroughly enjoyed doing anything that allowed him to be with his family. He always had the big smile and an "I love you" for his family.
He is survived by his son, Matthew Moore and girlfriend Lee Lynn; sisters, Mayeillien Bartosh, Thelma Conant; brothers, Cleo Moore, Gary Moore, and Danny Moore; sister-in-law, Karen Lewis and husband David and their children; nephews, Chad Bramlet and wife Stacey, Shea Bramlet and wife Stephanie, David Lewis and wife Ashley; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Sue; sisters, Kathleen Thomas, and Charlotte Moore; brothers, Charles Moore, Christopher Moore and James Moore; and his parents.
