Ryan Lampkin

Ryan Edward Lampkin, 32, of Abilene passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in Abilene.

A visitation will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 2 to 6 PM at the Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 US HWY 277 S., Abilene, Tx. 79606. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10 AM at the Chaparral Hills Baptist Church, 3300 W Cherry Ave, Amarillo, TX 79108.

Ryan was born on July 9,1988 in Amarillo, Tx. To Carl and Robbin Lampkin. Ryan was known to be artistic, kindhearted, and he loved his family. God gave him an incredible artistic ability. He was kindhearted towards everyone and would help anyone he could. Ryan loved his family first, especially his two boys. He was a man of many hobbies—racing go-carts when he was younger to watching Nascar today. Ryan loved to draw, and it was a passion of his throughout his life. On Saturdays and Sundays, you could find him watching a Texas Longhorns games or a Houston Texans game. He loved to fish and would go whenever he could; he loved to take his sons, Wyatt and Carl. Ryan especially loved the rain, because with rain came mud. This obsession came early in life when mom and dad introduced him to the Canadian river. It was his favorite place in the whole world and since that day he never passed a mud hole. He leaves behind a legacy to be remembered as a loving father because his boys were his pride and joy. Ryan was the type of person that would give you the shirt off his back even if it was the last one he owned. Whenever you can help somebody, help them because he definitely would. With anything he did in his life, he did it with his whole heart. Ryan will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Ryan is survived by his children, Wyatt and Carl Lampkin II of Abilene; parents, Carl and Robbin Lampkin of Amarillo; sisters, Sarah Lampkin with Ethan Head of Sylvester; Tiffany Lampkin with Cameron Gregory of Odessa, nephew Mason Torres, and niece Aubreigh Torres; grandpa Hershel Lampkin of Abilene; numerous family and friends.
