Rosemary Hermosillo

Rosemary “Rosie” Hermosillo, 51, passed away February 24, 2020 in Abilene. Rosie was born January 15, 1969 in Mitchell County, Texas to parents, Juan Sr. and Simona Perez Valdez. She grew up in Abilene and started working at a very early age. She worked hard her entire life to provide and take care of her family. She was a member of Crescent Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her sisters but spending time with her granddaughter, Audree was always the highlight of each day. She was a friend to everyone, very outspoken and her laughter will never be forgotten.

Rosie is survived by her two sons, Alex Hermosillo and Drew Kevin Washington; one granddaughter, Audree Simona Hermosillo; siblings, Johnny Valdez, Jerry Valdez, Dolores Valdez, Margie Medina, and Denise Thomson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Drew Washington; and her parents.
