Roberto Mejia

Roberto Mejia, 59, was called to his eternal resting place on February 13, 2021. He entered this world on 05/13/61 in San Felipe, GTO, Mexico born to Patricio Mejia and Ma. Guadalupe Ibarra.
Roberto was a very hard worker who loved his family dearly and loved playing baseball, and loved watching his children and grandchildren play football, soccer and softball. He enjoyed going to church with his family and listening to Gospel music.
He is survived by his spouse Esther Mejia and children; Olivia Gonzales (Jim), Sonia Amaya (Jose) ,Bella Mejia of Abilene, Jessica Rodriguez of Austin, Jose Mejia (Angela) of Ft. Worth, 12 grandchildren; Roxanne, Oscar Ryan,Adrian,Anthony,Julian,A.J.,Hannah,Jaiden,Alicia,Annabella,Zoey,Milo and 12 great grandchildren and brothers;  Rogelio, Juan, Jose, Carmen, Ignacio, Abran, Izac, Jesus, Manuel,  and sister Patricia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Roberto was preceded in death by his father Patricio and his son Oscar.
Roberto was one of more than 500,000 Americans who have passed away after being infected with COVID-19, he fought a hard battle with COVID  and was blessed to be surrounded by his loving family in his last moments.
A viewing will be held Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 6 p.m. -8 p.m. and funeral service on Monday, March 1st at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Funeral Home and Memorial Park  at 5750 US-277 S, Abilene, TX.
