Peggie Jean Wasson, 69 passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 in Abilene. A funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Elmwood Funeral Home’s Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South.
Peggie was born March 16, 1951 to G.W. and Connie Parker in Childress, Texas. Peggie married the love of her life James Wasson and the couple shared a beautiful life together. Peggie was a good cook and loved to crochet. She could be found cracking jokes and laughing, her laughter was contagious, and never meet a stranger. Peggie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother but above all she loved Jesus with her whole heart. She was a member of The Mission Church in Abilene, Texas. Peggie was very loved and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Wasson; her great grandbabies, Nicola Ann, and Stephen Wasson; her brothers, Jerry Lee Parker, Joe Neil Parker, and Earnest “Grumpy” Parker; and her sister, Regina Parker.
Peggie is survived by her children, Melissa and John Bargelski, and James and Gigi Wasson; her grandchildren, Joshua Glaze, Samantha Glaze, Dustin Glaze, Shayla Freeman and husband Manny, Shelley Major, Kayla Elrod, Jada English and husband Stephen; 20 great grandbabies; her sisters, Patsy Neil, Jackie Parker; her brothers, Bobby Parker, and Jefferey Pascall; her sister in law, Jeannie Parker; her fur babies, Jimmy John, and Darla Joy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and adopted kids and grandkids.
