Patricia Davis

Patty Davis, 72 passed away January 25, 2021, in Abilene, Texas.

Patty was born September 14, 1948 to Ira & Nina May of Abilene. She attended AISD. She then worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Abilene as a switchboard operator. She married Gary Davis of Abilene in 1972. She was a licensed beautician and ran her beauty shop in Clyde. She then attended McMurry College and received a degree in education in 1987.  She taught 5th grade and resource education at Eula. Later she worked at Clack and Craig middle schools as a content mastery coordinator. She received Teacher of the year award in 2002.

She is survived by her Husband, Gary of Abilene; Daughter, Kelly of Abilene; Son, Bo Davis of Arlington, Virginia; Brother, Cory May of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Granddaughter,  Sarah of Abilene; and Great Granddaughters, Addy and Arlow of Abilene.

She was proceeded in death by her Parents, Ira and Nina May of Abilene, Brother, Gordon May of Abilene; and Brother, Royce May of Lubbock.

There will be a celebration of Life, Saturday, February 20 from 1:00 to 4:00 at Elmwood Funeral Home, Abilene. Very casual and celebrating our loving memories our Dear Patty.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of the Big Country.
