Nova Caffey

Nova Audra Caffey, 93, of Abilene TX passed away Friday, June 3, 2022, in Abilene TX.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 2:00 PM Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 US HWY 277 S, Abilene, TX. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Monday June 6th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and I would Funeral Home.

Nova was born on December 18, 1928, in Anson TX to the late Webb Faulks and Mary Kelly Faulks. She married Carl B Caffey on October 5, 1946, and they were blessed with 61 years of marriage until he passed away on February 25, 2008.  Nova worked for the city of Abilene as a secretary for 25 years until her retirement. She enjoyed making crafts and cooking for her family and friends making everyone’s favorite for holidays and special occasions. Nova was a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Nova is survived by her children, Harold Caffey and wife Kay, James Caffey and wife Rita; grandchildren, Chris Caffey, Chastity Jobe and husband Shane, James Matthew Caffey and wife Lani; great grandchildren, Ryan Jobe, Caitlyn Pettijohn, Magnolia Caffey, Will Caffey; extended family and dear friends.

Nova was also preceded in death by brothers, James Faulks, Carl Faulks, Chester Faulks, Duard “Curly” Faulks and W.M. “Bud” Faulks; sister, Wilma Fulbright.
