Melton Daniels

Melton Ray Daniels, 77, of Abilene, TX passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in Abilene, TX.

A memorial service will be held Monday, October 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 US HWY 277 S., Abilene, TX 79606. Inurnment will follow at the Elmwood Memorial Park.

Ray was born on June 6, 1944 in Stamford, TX to the late C.H. Miller and Frieda Wahlen Miller. He married the love of his life, Cynthia Wheeler on February 19, 1964. They were blessed with 55 years of marriage until her passing in January 2020. When younger he enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the lake and always owned a boat. Ray like Cynthia enjoyed trips to the casino to pull the one-armed bandit. He worked many years in auto sales, transport and had worked the last few years for Norman Collision.

Ray is survived by his, Child, Donnie Daniels and wife Melissa, Grandchildren, Justin, Damien, Nick, Shayna, Brittnee: Great Grandchildren Brayden, Lainee, Baylor, Layton, Kynzee, Tex, Cooper, Decker; sister, Debra A. Fernandez and husband Jessie; mother in-law, Emma Wheeler; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Ray was also preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Daniels.
