Mary "Molly" Rosetti

March 18, 1936 — May 8, 2022

Ms. Mary "Molly" Rosetti, age 86, of Abilene, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.

Molly was born in a small fishing village in Scotland on March 18, 1936, to John and Grace Brolls. She immediately brought joy, laughter, and love into the world. She was born in a cold, green, windy, rural place. Her father worked at a dairy, and her home was simple, small, and had none of our modern conveniences. After moving to England, she met and married an American Airman, Louis Rosetti, while he was stationed in England in December of 1954. After marrying “the love of her life,” she separated from her country, her home, and her family to begin a new life and start a family with her husband.

She was preceded in death by; her mother Grace Brolls; father, John Brolls; brother -in-law, Malcolm Phillips; and a daughter, Rosealyn Ann Rosetti.

Molly is survived by her husband of 67 years, Louis Rosetti; son, Robert Rosetti and wife, Genny; daughter, Tina Steele, and husband Kyle Ramon; sister, Margaret Phillips; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family all had a special place in her heart.

Molly emerged from the challenges in her life as a woman of compassion, brave and strong, with a passion for life and family. Molly led her life as an example to others, always putting the needs of those around her before herself. Molly was strong, determined and fiercely independent women. She instilled these values into her family. She loved cooking huge meals for everyone to come together and enjoy each other. She loved laughing and joking with friends and family, often bringing joy to those around her.

She fought until the end, but was ready for eternity, and is now reunited with family and friends, and is healed, forever. If our time on earth is a soul school, then Molly graduated with honors. Her soul is powerful, beautiful, and forever. As a family, we have been blessed to have her for as long as we did on earth and know that she continues to watch and love us from afar, until we can all be reunited.

A Memorial Services will be at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 US HWY 277 S, Abilene, on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 2:00 pm.

I am not truly gone

If you keep me in your heart

I’ll forever be alive

And we’ll never have to part.
