Julian Daniel Gomez, 63, was called home to be with our Lord on October 5, 2021. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, October 11, 2021, at Elmwood Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Norma Carrillo will be officiating.

Julian was born December 27, 1957, to Raymond and Ester Gomez. He married his high school sweetheart, Jo Dena Gomez in 1978, and was happily married for 43 years.

Julian is preceded in death by his father; Father-in-law, Bill Golleher; Mother-in-law, Jerlene Golleher; and two Brothers-in-law, Alan, and Ricky.

He is survived by his sweet Mother; Wife; Daughter, Randa Hewitt (Curtis); Grandson, Ethan Hewitt; Granddaughter, Addison Hewitt; Sister-in-law, Melinda Gonzales; Brother, Ruben(Carol); three sisters Gina(Scott); Anita(Jesse); Elizabeth(Bobby); and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends.

Julian was a loving son, wonderful husband, and a good ol' fashion grandpa known to all the children as "PoPo". He worked for the Abilene ISD HVAC Department until he retired after almost 40 years. He was currently employed by the City of Abilene as a crossing guard. His hobbies included coaching his daughter in softball and later his niece Addy, watching Ethan's football games, Nascar, and fishing with great nephew, Xalyn Martinez; Ethan, and Ethan's friends Louis and Gage Flores who he held near to his heart. He provided rides and countless hours of listening to stories, sharing food and candies with Ethan and Addison, nieces and nephews and the visits he got from Aria and Lane. He appreciated all the food he got in return. Anna with her McDonald's Salads, Jessica's hot sauce, and pozole from Randa, Addison's brownies.

He loved his mom, brother, and sisters, and prayed for them every night. He was a follower of Hagee Ministries from Cornerstone Church, and Christians United for Isreal.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season, we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9
