Obituary

Joseph Patrick Maxwell passed away March 21, 2022, in Corpus Christi, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022, in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene.

Joseph was born on April 6, 1950, in Denison, Texas to Verna Lee and Thomas Alton Maxwell. He was always the fun Uncle that was quick-witted, brining laughter to his family.  He loved his music, traveling and enjoyed spending time with his friends. He liked working with his hands and could build and fix many things. He was an intelligent man who loved science, especially astronomy. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Maxwell.

Joseph is survived by three sisters, Doris Middleton, Carol Maxwell, and Mary Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews.
