John Caro Russell, Jr., 92, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 8:00 am in his home.
He was born October 10, 1929 in Abilene, TX to the late John Caro and Leesey (MacLemore) Russell.
Surviving are his wife, Lela Russell of Michigan City, IN; two daughters, Alicia (David Ztipp) Russell of Arlington, MA and Susan McCoy of Arcadta, CA; two sons, John Caro (Cecily Crowther) Russell, III of New Buffalo, MI and Tom (Mary Jane Brotherson) Russell of Ames, IA; two step-daughters, Kathy McCally of Dallas, TX and Kristin (Garrett ) Vershuur of Golden, CO; step-son, Thomas Brown of Kansas City, MO; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
John was a Methodist Minister and a U.S. Air Force and Navy Veteran. He enjoyed painting.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, September 16, 2022 in Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South.
