Jean G. Collier, 92, of Abilene passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019, in Abilene.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at 11 AM at Elmwood Memorial Park.
Jean was born on September 16, 1927, in Pleasant Plains, Arkansas to the late B.A. Gilpatrick and Eva M. Churchwell Gilpatrick. She married Will Frank Collier in Batesville, Arkansas in 1948. Jean and Frank moved to Abilene in 1952. She retired from Abilene State Living Center and was a longtime member of Abilene Garden Club.
Jean is survived by a brother, Calvin Gilpatrick and wife Ruby; sister, Pat Lee; grandchildren, Mathew Collier and wife Heather, Angela Rutledge and husband Pete; daughter-in-law, Karen Collier; great grandchildren, Alexa, Kenly, Kaden Collier, Jared and Jaxon Rutledge.
Jean was also preceded in death by her husband Frank Collier; son, Stephen Collier; brother, Dale Gilpatrick.
