Helen Woodward

Helen Woodward, 80 passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will be held 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM, Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 hwy 277 South. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, October 4, 2019 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Helen was born July 29, 1939 to Raymond and Irene King in Kinta, Oklahoma. Helen met Robert Woodward in Lawton Oklahoma and the couple were married June 18, 1958. Some of her hobbies included crossword puzzles, going to casinos, and decorating for the holidays. She attended 2nd Baptist Church in Abilene and was there every Sunday until her health hindered her from attending. Helen loved Alan Jackson, her dogs but most of all Helen loved her family. She was very loved in return and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Irene King; her son, Robert Ray Woodward; sister, Mildred Anderson; brothers, Junior King, and Jesse Ray King, and her brother-in-law, Odell Anderson.

Helen is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert Woodward; her son, Randy Woodward and wife Terri; her grandchildren, Whitney Woodward and Richie Rangel, Cody Woodward and wife Savanah, Stacie Stokes and husband Chris, Heather Leigh Woodward, Elisha Delacruz and husband Martin, and Jason Perry and wife Tiffany; great grandchildren, Braxton Stokes, Nathan Rangel, Everly Woodward, Emily Woodward, Jeremy Harris, Paige Sims, Brandon Garza, Riley Perry, and Braylen Perry; her twin sister, Ellen Blascyk and husband Bill; sister, Donna Cavindess; and several nieces and nephews.
