Garry Myers

Garry Wayne Myers, 78, of Abilene went to be with the LORD JESUS CHRIST on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 in Abilene.

Garry was born December 14, 1941 at home in Huntsdale, Pa.  He graduated from Big Spring High School in 1959 and in 1966 Garry graduated from Elizabethtown College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In 1965, Garry married Myra Jean Arrowood.

Garry had been employed from 1959 to 1962 with the Army and Airforce Exchange at Carlisle Barracks, Pa. Upon graduating from Elizabethtown College in 1966, Garry was employed again with the Army and Airforce Exchange in management capacity.

Garry and Myra began their young family in 1966 with daughter Kathryn, in 1967 son John, in 1968 son Christopher. Christopher was born 2 mos. premature and by the Grace of GOD went to heaven the 3rd morning. In 1969 daughter Jean was a planned pregnancy and in 1971 son Ryan was welcomed. In January 1973 Garry and Myra experienced the loss of a child due to the Deception of the lies by the abortion industry and the wrong ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court, Roe vs. Wade.

Garry with his wife Myra and family began the adventurous series of 12 moves, taking them to Pa., N.J., San Antonio Tx., N.J., N.H., Okinawa, El Paso Tx., Japan, Okinawa, Tx., Korea, DFW Tx. TEXAS wins hands down.

Garry Wayne Myers is survived by his wife Myra, 4 adult children with spouses, 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
