Frank Argumaniz

May 11, 1945 — September 30, 2020

Frank Argumaniz Sr., 75, completed his earthly journey and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on October 5, 2020, at 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4 at 3 PM with a Rosary being held from 4 to 5 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home.

Frank Argumaniz lived a full life as a life-long Texan. He spent his childhood in Baird and Sweetwater, TX, where he enjoyed life with his many siblings. As a young man, he loved sports and fishing and hunting with his brothers. Following high school, Frank was called into the service of the United States. Frank served honorably and courageously during the Vietnam War, a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. For decades following his service to his country, he worked as a machinist and toolmaker for General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin. He took great pride in his hands-on work, and was regularly involved in home and auto projects. Frank also took great joy in being a dedicated father of two young men. He never missed his sons’ concerts, performances, and games. He also deeply loved his nieces, nephews, and extended family. First and foremost, he was a loving husband, steadfast and inseparable from his wife, Margaret, of 48 years. Frank’s warm, generous, and easy going personality only grew deeper and more profound in his later years, and he took great pleasure in the simple things in life; quality time with family, the History Channel, sports (especially the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys), and a cold beer. A dependable and faithful friend and relative, many people found in Frank a father figure. His immediate family will miss his quick-witted humor, unforgettable comedic facial expressions, and deeply loving and genuine gaze. A man of immense fortitude, he will be remembered by his family for his heart of gold, and his incredible resilience and positivity in the face of many lifelong illnesses. His legacy of hard work, humility, family, and generosity will be carried on by his surviving family members for generations to come.

Frank was survived by his wife, Margaret Argumaniz; son, Samuel Argumaniz (Michelle); siblings, Pete Argumaniz, Ruben Argumaniz (Olivia), Ben Argumaniz (Concha), David Argumaniz (Diana); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Frank was preceded in death by a son, Frank Argumaniz Jr; sisters, Hilaria Routenburg, Felipa Ramirez, Alicia Torrez; brothers, Fernando Argumaniz and Manuel Argumaniz.
