Doyle Fannin, 83, was called home to be with his Savior on Sunday, August 2, 2020.

Doyle was born October 12, 1936 to James and Lilly Fannin in Abilene, Texas. Doyle graduated from Abilene High School and attended Hardin Simmons University. He worked for Mrs. Baird’s Bakery for 48 years. He was a loving father and husband, as well as a fabulous cook. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved having big fish fry’s for the church. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lilly Fannin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Toni Fannin, his children, Darla Gaub, and her husband Rex, Carla Caraway and her husband Bob, Sharla Garcia and her husband, Jerry and Jim Fannin; stepchildren, Sharon Ellis and her husband John, Mike Stoecker, Tom Stoecker, his girlfriend, Kelly, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, his uncle, Bill Golleher and many cousins.

A visitation will be between 2:00PM-4:00 PM, Friday, August 7, 2020 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral services will be 10: 00 AM, Saturday, August 8, 2020 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.
