Delbert Cordry

Delbert D. Cordry, 81, of Abilene passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 in Abilene.

A memorial service will be held on September 11, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Elmwood Funeral Home and Memorial Park with a graveside service at 11 a.m.

Del was born on March 12, 1940 in Alton, Missouri to the late Burton Cordry and Fern Hamilton. Del married Karen Gogle in 1981 and were blessed with 33 years of marriage until her passing in October of 2014. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as a truck driver until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and camping. Del enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Del was preceded in death by his wife Karen, son Mack Cordry, brother Kenneth Cordry, sister Lois Jennings, brother Herald Cordry and son-in-law Steve Krog.

Del is survived by his children, Donna Krog, Kenneth Cordry and fiancé LaDonna Massey, Jack Cordry and wife Shawn; grandchildren Brittini Mize and husband Ely, Brennen Bowman and wife Heather, Megan and Kaleb Cordry, Anna Macey Cordry, Zoey and Zach Massey; great grandchildren, Brianna, Gram and Hallie Mize, Gavin, Jaxon, Jayden, and Haven Bowman; sisters, Louise Coffee and Barbara Meier and husband Sig, brother Allen Cordry; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
