We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Elmwood Funeral Home & Memorial Park
David Taylor Pack, devoted husband, adoring father and loving brother and uncle, passed away on February 26, 2022 in Abilene, Texas at the age of 65. He was joined at the gates of Heaven by his parents, Margery and Bill Pack, and his nephew, Jason DeLecour. He is survived by his wife, Angie and daughter, Shauna, of Abilene; sister’s-in-law, Darlene Ringo and Margaret Stephenson; great-niece, Alexia Cast; stepsons , Bobby and Clay Hicks; and adopted daughter, Emily Boyd. He was loved and will be missed by his sister, Carolyn DeLecour; his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Lisa Pack; his niece Taylor Pack Ellis and her husband, Justin; and niece, Regan Pack; and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will miss him greatly.
David graduated from Baylor University and was an avid football fan—he certainly loved his Bears—and steadfastly had hopes for his Houston Texans. David also seemed happiest when near a beach or fishing with family and friends—many stories to remember and retell. And he, his brother, daughter, and nephew never tired of listening to music of every kind.
David will be remembered for his warm smile, his giving nature, his ability to make others laugh and feel special, and the mischievous twinkle in his eye from an early age! David embraced life and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family and friends. He loved God, his family, his friends and the great state of Texas.
Matthew West in his song “Something to Say”, states “your life is the song that you sing; and the whole wide world is listening”. David’s life was his song!
