Carol Travis, 82. Our beloved Mother passed away on July 4, 2020. A memorial grave side service will be held at the Texas State Veterans's Cemetery, 8457 West Lake Road, Abilene TX. Officiating will be directed by Bill Dixon.
Carol worked for Civil Service for 33 years with 23 of those years being at the Dyess AFB TX Hospital in the Physical Examination Section. After retiring, she had a booth at Chickntree Antiques and enjoyed visiting with all the shoppers.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dave Travis, 4 children: Lyle, Keith & Mitch Gassaway and Dana Cail. She is also survived by 3-step children, Maurice, Shelia and Freddie Travis. Carol was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Frances Morgan of Orange County CA.
Memorial donations may be made in Carol's name to The Hawley Volunteer Fire Department, Hawley Texas.
