Billy Jack Scurlock, 74, passed away July 6, 2021. A visitation will be 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, Friday, July 9, 2021 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A graveside service will follow beginning at 1:00 PM in Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South.
Billy was born October 12, 1946 to Jack and Doris Scurlock in Abilene, Texas. Billy joined the United States Air Force in 1965. After serving his country Billy became a security officer and it became his passion. On May 20, 1997 Billy married the love of his life Evelyn Jackson in New Mexico. Billy collected guns and badges and loved law enforcement. He was a member of the NRA and The Texas National Movement. Above all Billy loved his family and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Billy was very loved and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Billy Jack Scurlock Jr.; his stepdaughter, Michele Barreda; and his brother, Tommy Scurlock.
Billy is survived by his wife, Evelyn Scurlock; his children, Monica and husband Roland, Michael, William, and Rachel; his grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Jeremy, and Daniel; his sister, June Wright; and numerous great grandchildren.
