Alma Rowan

Alma J Rowen passed away June 8, 2019. A visitation will be 10:00 AM, Thursday June 13, 2019 at New Light Baptist Church, 518 North 6th Street. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South.

Alma was born December 16, 1928. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and gardening. After 30 years of service Alma retired from Abilene State School. She was a faithful member of New Light Baptist Church for 63 years. While at New Light she was the president of Mission II, active in the Progressive West Texas Baptist District Association, and president of the usher board. Alma was the last survivor of her mother’s children.

She leaves to mourn, nieces, nephews, many friends, and members of her church.
