Wilma Patton

Wilma Jewel Patton, 96, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012 in Ft. Worth. Visitation will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 4th at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South with Graveside service following at 3:00 PM in the Garden of Peace at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Wilma was born on June 5, 1915 in Nettleton, Arkansas. She married Omon Johnny Patton O.J. on June 7, 1934. Wilma enjoyed taking care of people through her long career as an LVN. She had been a resident of Abilene since 1971 where she was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church and moved to Ft. Worth 11 years ago to be near her family.

Wilmas favorite activities were attending church, playing the piano, reading and playing card games.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Patton Branch 3 granddaughters, 5 great grandchildren and 9 greatgreat grandchildren all of Ft. Worth.
Her parents, her husband and two sisters, Mildred Teague and Delia Cross preceded her in death.
