William "Bill" Hansell Jr. passed away peacefully, July 16, 2026 in Abilene, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of honor, devotion, and unwavering love for his family and his country. A visitation will be 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, July 31, 2026 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 1, 2026 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Bill was born on August 7, 1943, in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, to his loving parents, William Hansell Sr. and Doris Ingram Hansell. From an early age, he embodied the values of integrity, service, and perseverance that would define his life.

Bill proudly served in the United States Air Force, making military service his lifelong career. His dedication to his country and commitment to those he served alongside reflected his strong sense of duty and patriotism. He was deeply respected for his character, leadership, and selfless service.

On May 22, 1965, Bill married the love of his life, Mary (Dottie). Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, faith, and cherished memories. Their marriage endured for nearly 38 years until Dottie’s passing on April 11, 2003. The love they shared remained a guiding light throughout Bill's life.

Above all else, Bill was a devoted family man. He was a man of noble character whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched everyone who knew him. He treasured the time spent with his family and took great pride in those he loved. His quiet strength, generous heart, and steadfast example will be remembered for generations to come.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary “Dottie” Hansell; his parents, William and Doris Hansell Sr.; and his brother, Robert Hansell.

Bill is survived by his two children, Teresa Hansell, and Todd Hansell; two sisters, Debra Early, and Linda Norris; and numerous nieces, cousins, and friends.

Bill will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
