Tracie Anderson, 60, beloved Wife and Mother, joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven on September 5, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. She entered this world on October 22, 1961 in Anson, Texas. She was raised in Abilene, Texas by her mother, Sandra Hamm, and graduated from Abilene High School. After high school, Tracie was blessed with two children, Leslie and Eric. Tracie later met the love of her life, Douglas Anderson. Tracie and Doug were married on July, 2, 2002, and they spent 20 wonderful years together as husband and wife. She worked for the State of Texas for over 10 years, helping care for others. She loved working for the State, and spoke often and highly of her coworkers. Tracie was a great friend to many, and is remembered as being bubbly with an infectious laugh. She was generous, kind, caring, and a bright light to all who knew her. Tracie enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, boating, and spending time at the lake.
Tracie is preceded in death by her parents, Sandra Hamm and Donald Ray Johnson; her grandparents, Bob and Lorene Counts; and her father in law, John Anderson.
Tracie is survived by her husband, Douglas Anderson of Abilene; her daughter, Leslie Blais and her husband, Steven of Sanger; her son, Eric Edwards and his wife Tori of Abilene; her brother, Todd Johnson, and his wife, Sandra Bravo Johnson of Irving; her mother in law, Margaret Anderson of Abilene; her brother in law, Derrill Anderson of Abilene; her sister in law, Deanna Schuldt and her husband Brian of Seattle, Washington; her brother in law, Dennis Anderson and his wife Lesa of Nugent; her brother in law, David Anderson and his wife Lupe of Roby; her sister in law, Danita Gates and her husband Kyle of Denton Valley; his sister in law, Debbi Richardson and her husband Zern of Fairdale, West Virginia; her sister in law, Dorci Owens and her husband Brad of Early; many nieces and nephews; and multiple friends and family members.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022, 11:00 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, TX 79606.
