Terry John Torregrossa

Terry John Torregrossa, 52, passed away on Saturday, February 21st, 2026. A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday, March 3rd at Elmwood Funeral Home in Abilene, Texas. The service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, March 4th at Elmwood Funeral Home's Chapel, located at 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, TX.

Terry was born in Abilene, Texas, on November 15th, 1973, to Thomas and Gail Torregrossa. He was the eldest to two sisters.

Terry moved to the Wylie School District in the 7th grade and stayed through graduation in 1993. He was a naturally talented, self-taught musician with his own style. He played many instruments, but his forte was as a vocalist, rhythm guitar, and bass player. His past accomplishments included being a member of several bands and side projects.

He loved people and made life-long friends whereever he worked. Whether it was Mrs. Baird's Bakery, Safety Kleen, the Airport, Rockin Rollerz, or Perini's, he infiltrated people's hearts- whether they wanted him to or not. He wore them down with his love eventually matching his energy of hugs and "I love yous". He was always genuine, treated everyone like his family, and would never hurt a fly.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who loved him. His stories, laughter, and love will live on in all who knew him. He had a smile that no one else had, and would light up a room when he walked in. Family was fiercely important to him and he made everyone feel like he loved them.

He is survived by his son Zane, and wife Des; his daughter, Zoey and her boyfriend Calvin along with their three children, Kenzie, Edan, and Elliott; his mother, Gail Boles; his sister, Carrie Whitecotton and her husband Tommy and son Jace; his sister, Christy Torregrossa and her fiance Chad Ballentine; stepbrother, Cooter Boles and his wife Lacey and their daughter Avery; and his stepsister Michelle Dennis.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Torregrossa.
