Stanley Wayne Gifford Jr.

February 18, 1959 — April 2, 2026

Stanley Wayne Gifford Jr, affectionately known as "Stan the Man," passed away at the age of 67 on April 2, 2026, at his home following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born on February 18, 1959, to Darlene Gifford and Stan Gifford Sr., Stan lived a life defined by hard work, vision, and a deep connection to those around him.

He was the owner of Diamond Drywall, where he built a reputation for transforming houses into homes. Stan had a unique gift for seeing what could be, taking spaces down to their foundation and rebuilding them into something new and meaningful. His craftsmanship and dedication left a lasting mark on every project he touched.

Stan had a passion for staying active and enjoyed tennis, golf, and skiing. He approached life the same way he approached his work-with energy, determination, and a clear sense of purpose. Whether on the court, the course, or a job site, he was always fully engaged and giving his best.

Known for his warmth and easygoing nature, Stan was truly someone people gravitated toward. He cherished time with family and friends and was admired for his reliability, kindness, and strong sense of care for others. His devotion was especially evident in the loving support he gave to his mother, Darlene, as she faced the challenges of dementia.

He is survived by his mother, Darlene Gifford; his sister, Sharron Hill; his niece, Shannon Miller; his grand-niece, Monica Guzomon; and his grand-nephew, Dakota Miller.

Stan will be laid to rest in Abilene, Texas.

He will be remembered as a beloved family man, a skilled craftsman, and a visionary-forever known to those who loved him as "Stan the Man."
