Sharon Bruneau

Sharon Lyn Pehl Bruneau (73) beloved by many, was born July 21, 1950, and passed into life eternal April 5, 2024.

Sharon was born to Chester and Laguan Carroll in Three Rivers, TX, where she spent her early childhood. In 1963 the family relocated to Abilene where she attended Abilene schools and was a 1969 Abilene High School graduate.

In 1971 she married the love of her life, Larry Pehl (deceased 2001) and had two children - Jake and Misty. Sharon loved family but also divided her time as a working mom. She was a long-time parts store buyer for Dyess and later retired from Abilene ISD. Later in life Sharon was blessed to find another love and married John Bruneau (deceased 2022.)

Sharon loved Church of Christ services and enjoyed shopping, gardening, and seeking all things beautiful - especially when she could share these times with family.

Sharon - your quiet presence will not go unnoticed at family gatherings (neither will your pies or famous Thanksgiving dressing).

Preceded in death by her parents - Chester Gipson Carroll, Laguan Carroll, 1st Husband Larry Pehl, 2nd Husband John Bruneau.

Survived by - Son - Patrick Jake Pehl, Daughter - Misty L. Pehl, Grandson - Austin Belitz, and 11 brothers and sisters - Chester Carroll, Faye Barbian, Jennifer Cox, Annie McCarty, Susan Neil, Janet Hotchkiss, Norma Petrencik, Craig Carroll, Missy Willen, Wendell Carroll, Barbara Moncus.

Graveside services celebrating Sharon's life will be Tuesday, April 9, 2:00 pm at Elliot-Hamil Garden of Memories, 5701 Hwy 277 South.
