Kay Pratt

We are saddened to announce the passing of Sharlet "Kay" Harrison Pratt, who left us on December 16, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on October 2, 1952, in Abilene, Texas, Kay was a beloved daughter, mother, and grandmother who touched the lives of everyone she met.

Kay graduated from Abilene High School and spent many years working at Abilene Radiology Associates and Abilene Regional Hospital, followed by her role as General Manager at Subway, and she also worked in the deli section at United. She had a zest for life, especially in her younger days, when she enjoyed traveling. In recent years, she found joy and comfort at home, often watching her favorite baseball team, the New York Yankees-a passion she held close to her heart.

Kay is survived by her son, Mark Lindsey; her daughter-in-law, Liz Lindsey; and her granddaughter, Karley Lindsey, along with cherished family members Kathryn Goldston, Aaron Goldston, and Ryann Rogahn. She also leaves behind her aunt, Sandra Brown, and family from Abilene.

Kay was an avid reader and loved stories, much like her own, which had many chapters.

A memorial service will be held on January 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Elmwood Funeral Home in Abilene, Texas. We invite family and friends to gather and celebrate Kay's life together, sharing memories and honoring the beautiful soul she was.
