Samniang Olson

Samniang Olson, 85, passed away Thursday December 29, 2022. A visitation will be 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Monday, January 2, 2023, in the Elmwood Funeral Home’s Family Center, 5750 Hwy 277 South. A funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Memorial Park.

Samniang was born October 12, 1937 in Thailand to Pom and Neim Satlert. She met Carl Olson while he was serving our country in the Vietnam War. The couple were married in 1973 and a few years later in 1977 Carl was stationed at Dyess Airforce Base. The family soon made Abilene home. Samniang would do anything for anyone. She loved and was loved by so many of her friends. She was the best wife, most loving mother and grandmother. She will forever be loved and missed always.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Olson.

Samniang is survived by four children, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three sisters, three brothers, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
