Richard Wesley Johnson 8/30/42 to 1/16/22

Richard was born in Porterville, CA to Paul and Zela Mae (Willingham) Johnson. He attended school in Abilene and excelled in track; setting several city records. He married the love of his life, Lillie (Cooey) Johnson on March 10, 1966.

Richard was an avid golfer making 2 hole-in-ones. He and Lillie were State Bearbow Archery Champions in 1971 & 1972. He was a born salesman; making that his life trade.

He was preceeded in death by his wife Lillie, his parents and step-father RB Parker, sister Geneva Grissom, brothers James Johnson and Cerral Dean Culver, daughter Penny Kelley, and son George Gregory Jr.

He is survived by daughters Sharon (Howard) Bruton & Joyce Gregory, son William Gregory, Granddaughter Crystal (Jason) Webb, Grandsons Garryn Young, Richard (Jennifer) Bruton & Ben (Elise) Bruton. Sisters Patricia Clough, Mary Ann Jones, & Brenda Kay Dearman. Great-grandkids Paige, Rode, Landen, Ashlynn, Joseph, & Rudy. Uncle Bill Willingham, special cousin Juanita Nance, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Special thank you to Hendrick Hospice for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hendrick Hospice.

Visitation will be held, Monday, January 24th from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home. Family is requesting masks to be worn.
