Ricardo Rios

Ricardo Hernandez-Rios, 31, passed away October 20, 2022 in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM, Monday, October 24, 2022 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Saint Vincent Catholic Church, 2525 Westview, Abilene, Texas.

Ricardo was born March 19, 1991 in Zacatecaz, Mexico to Armando Hernandez-Vargas and Ma Domitila  Rios-Lopes. Ricardo came to the United States when he was 15 years old and started learning the masonry business with his brother. He started his own business, R &P Masonry in 2020 and was very successful. On June 23, 2013 Ricardo married the love of his life Lina Pecina and the two had a very blissful marriage. He enjoyed playing Mexican Soccer until 2017 when he had to stop playing due to an injury. Ricardo has been a long term member of Saint Vincent Catholic Church. He enjoyed dancing, volunteering at Mission Thanksgiving, and being the DJ at family events. Ricardo had a huge heart with an old soul that would do anything for someone in need. He was very loved and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Lina Pecina; his parents; his stepchildren, Erica Hernandez (Joel), Jaqueline Pecina, and Jazmine Pecina; grandchildren, Alexandria, Alonzo, Alondra, Dason, and the one that had him wrapped around his finger, Preston; his siblings, Juan Rios, Ma De Rosario Gonzalez, Araseli Hernandez-Rios, Carlos Hernandez-Rios, Ma De La Luz Hernandez-Rios, Blanca E. Hernandez-Rios, Norma P. Hernandez-Rios, Daniel Hernandez-Rios,  Ma (Guzdalupe) Henandez-Rios; his nephew, Nester Antonio Gonzalez-Rios; two nieces, Isabell L. Rios, and Anabelle Y. Rios, his uncle, Vincent Rios-Lopez; his fur baby, Zoey, and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
