Rebecca Carter

Rebecca "Becky" Carter passed away February 21, 2019 in Abilene. A visitation will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Monday, February 25,2019 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South Abilene, Texas.

Becky was born February 3, 1950 to James and Elnore Carter in Sullivan, Indiana. The family moved to Abilene shortly after Becky was born. Becky graduated from Abilene High School on June 4, 1968. After high school she worked for Timex for 8 years leaving there to join the Navy in 1976. Becky was very proud of serving her country, she ended her time in the Navy in 1981 and was in the reserves from 1982 - 1987. From 1982 - 1986 she worked for the cable company in San Antonio and then became a United States Postal Service Worker in Austin, Texas from 1986 - 1999. In 1992 she joined Sandy and the couple was married in Pennsylvania on January 26, 2014 until Sandy's passing on December 25, 2014. Becky was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Elnore Carter and wife, Sandy.
