Penny Kay Booker was born on August 3, 1958 in Albany, Texas to loving parents, Andy and Letha Booker. She was called home to rest on April 16, 2026.
Penny was one of ten children born to Andy and Letha growing up in a large and loving family. She also shared a bond with two additional siblings, Kay Katherine Rivers and Clinton Bernard Booker, completing a beautiful extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Andy Booker and her siblings, Randy Booker, Anna Maria Booker, Paul Booker, and Sybil Rene Booker.
She leaves to cherish precious memories her only child Kayce Lee aka Kim, her beloved mother, Letha Booker, now 90 years of age, along with her loving siblings, Andy Booker, Jr., Elizabeth Ann Mooney, Betty Buffington, Stanley Booker, and Virginia Rose Booker, as well as Kay Katherine Rivers and Clinton Bernard Booker and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Penny was truly the life of the party. Wherever she went, she brought joy, laughter, and a spirit that could light up any room. She loved her music, loved to dance, and loved to eat. Those close to her will always remember the sweet and funny hums she would make while enjoying her food--bringing smiles to everyone around her. Because of her joyful and playful nature, she was affectionately known as "Cookie Mookie".
One of Penny's greatest joys was spending time in the country with her grandparents. Those moments were filled with peace, love, and lasting memories she carried throughout her life. Penny's life was a reflection of love, laughter, and togetherness. She had a special way of bringing people together and making everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. Though she has transitioned from this life, the love she gave and the joy she shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
