Peggy Ann Gragiola was born June 9, 1939, to Ella Mae Waldon and William Oscar Sedberry in Blackwell, Texas. Peggy grew up in Sweetwater and graduated from Sweetwater High School. She moved to Abilene where she met the love of her life, Phil Gragiola. Phil and Peggy married in 1958 and remained so until his passing in 2010. They had one child named Laura. Peggy attended Hardin Simmons University and the University of Texas, Peggy finished her schooling at the Mary Meeks School of Nursing and graduated as a registered nurse in 1974.
In 1977 Phil and Peggy joined together to open a successful salon and clothing business. While Phil ran the salon, Peggy operated the high-end clothing and jewelry boutique. Peggy loved the business and enjoyed traveling to markets around the country and parts of the world. She loved being able to provide a fashionable clothing choice to the women of Abilene and surrounding areas.
Peggy would return to her passion for nursing and worked for the Texas Department of Human Services until she retired in 2004. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband Phil and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
