Paul Klein

Reverend Paul J. Klein Sr., was born February 7, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and died January 11, 2015. A Rosary Service will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 HWY 277 South. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5410 Buffalo Gap Road.

He joined the Ohio National Guard as a medic in 1947, and married Florence Adeline Young in Cincinnati, Ohio in April of 1950. He separated from the Army in October of 1951, as a staff sergeant. He moved to Abilene in 1971, as a product engineer for Valley Faucet; he was ordained a Catholic Deacon in 1976. He worked for the State of Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a chaplain for over 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; his sister, Margaret; his children, Paul J Klein Jr., Kathleen Pierce, Gregory Klein, Gary Klein and Maria Parsons and their spouses; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter.

He was pre-deceased by his mother, Elizabeth Kreke; his son, Kevin; and his great grandson Douglas.
