Patrick Sigala was born on September 13, 1964, in Abilene, Texas, to Paul and Maria Sigala. A proud Abilene native, Patrick graduated from Abilene High School and, shortly after, began what would become a 42-year career with R.E. Janes Gravel Company, later known as Martin Marietta Materials. His strong work ethic and loyalty carried him all the way to retirement.
In 1992, Patrick married the love of his life, Anna Marie Vera. For 33 years, Patrick and Anna built a life full of laughter, travel, and countless memories. He loved taking trips and seeing new places-though Patrick never missed the chance to give Anna a hard time about planning the next one.
Patrick was a devoted member of St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church and a proud Knight of Columbus for 30 years. For more than two decades, he organized and ran the St. Vincent Softball Tournament, pouring his time and heart into his church community.
Patrick was truly a people person. He never met a stranger, never passed up a chance to make someone laugh, and never walked away from a conversation without learning something about the person he had just met. He was a loyal sports fan and could always be found cheering at Abilene High School games.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Anna; his brother, David Sigala and wife Delores; his sister, Mary Ruth Valdez and husband Paul; his sister-in-laws, Linda Petty and husband Steve, Susie Roberts, and Adelita Blalock and husband Jerry; and his brother-in-laws, Robert Vera and wife Rebecca and Chris Gonzales; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Stella Diaz and Minnie Granado.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Vega, his staff, and the compassionate team at Hendrick Hospice Care for the kindness, care, and support shown to Patrick during this difficult time.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, followed by a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, 2525 Westview Drive.
Patrick leaves behind a legacy of hard work, faith, laughter, and a life well lived in the community he loved.
