Maxine Fonner

Maxine Fonner, 77 of Abilene went to be with the Lord Thursday night. Funeral service will be 10 AM, Monday, March 18, 2013 at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Visitation will be 6 till 8 PM, Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Elmwood Funeral Home.
Ms. Fonner was born January 14, 1936. She graduated from Mary Meeks School on nursing and worked at Hendrick Medical Center until she retired from nursing. She began a career in crafts, doing business as Maxines Makins. She married Robert Fonner March 24, 1956. Together they raised four children.
She is survived by her husband, Robert their four children, Steve Fonner, Susie Spry and husband Alan, Sharon Barclay and husband Wayne, Cathy Fonner nine grandchildren nine greatgrandchildren.
Ms. Fonner will be remembered for her loving nature and quite strength. We love you mom and will miss you until we meet again.
