Marissa Nicole Quevedo Carrillo, 41, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2026, in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 28, at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 29, in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Marissa was born on October 15, 1984, in Abilene, Texas, to Felix and Becky Quevedo. She was a loving daughter, devoted wife, and extraordinary mother whose life centered completely around her family.
Marissa met the love of her life, Armando Carrillo, and together they shared 28 beautiful years filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Their bond was one built on friendship, faith, and dedication to the family they created together.
She loved spending her weekends cheering from the sidelines at her children’s sporting events, always showing up with unconditional love and support. Whether it was early mornings, long drives, or busy schedules, she never missed an opportunity to be there for the people she loved most.
A true creative soul, she found happiness in crafting and creating. From custom shirts and personalized cups to handmade blankets, her talent and creativity touched so many lives. She proudly owned and operated her own in-home boutique, pouring her passion, hard work, and hustle into everything she did. She was the definition of a go-getter someone who worked tirelessly for her family while still making time to care for others.
She loved music, dancing, and any excuse to gather with family and friends. Nothing made her happier than having everyone together, laughing, eating, and enjoying life. She especially loved the smell of BBQ cooking when her husband or father was on the grill, moments that became cherished memories for those lucky enough to share them with her.
She also had a special way of making every holiday and birthday unforgettable. Whether it was decorating, planning gatherings, giving thoughtful gifts, or simply making sure everyone felt loved, she created memories that her family will cherish forever. She made every celebration feel warm, joyful, and full of love.
She was also a proud, ride-or-die fan of the Dallas Cowboys, faithfully supporting her team through every season.
Above all else, she will be remembered for her strength, generosity, creativity, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy will live on in the memories she created, the traditions she cherished, and the countless lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her father, Felix Quevedo Jr.; and her nephew, Isaiah Arellano.
Marissa is survived by her husband, Armando Carrillo; her children, Xavier Carrillo and spouse Gracie, Bethany Carrillo and spouse Daelen; Jadrian Carrillo, Dre’lan Carrillo, Kyzliana Carrillo, and Ny’Eliana Carrillo; her mother, Becky Guevedo; her grandchildren, Xaili, Xavier Bronx, Burklee, and Delainey; her siblings, Alisha Quevedo, and Jacob Arellano; her nieces and nephews, Nathan, Issac, Brianna, Aliana, Mariah, Leah, Aubri, and Elina; and numerous friends.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
