Born in Ponferrada, Spain, Teresa's life was guided by faith from the very beginning. Her journey carried her through Portugal and Canada before she found her true home in Abilene, Texas.

A devoted daughter to her beloved mother, Teresa carried that same love and care into every part of her life. For nearly sixty years, she shared a steadfast love and partnership with her husband, Lou Seckler, and together they raised two sons, Carlos and Paulo. Her devotion to God shaped everything she did - from her generosity toward others to her unwavering strength through life's challenges.

She served her community with grace and purpose, volunteering at the hospital, supporting church services, and teaching at Aileen Christian Schools. Her faith was not just spoken but lived, reflected in her glowing smile and the kindness she extended to everyone she met.

After a long and courageous battle with dementia, Teresa has gone home to the Lord she so faithfully served. Her soul is now at peace, closer to God and surrounded by His eternal love - the place she always longed to be, where she truly belongs.

Those blessed to have known her will forever carry her light - a reflection of her faith, her compassion, and her grace. We are profoundly grateful for her presence in our lives and comforted in knowing she is finally home in heaven."

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 14,2025 at 2:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, Texas.
