Maria R. Romero, 81, of Abilene passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Abilene.
Rosary will be held Monday, May 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, May 19 at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church.
Maria was born on September 28, 1933 in San Marcos, TX. She married Pablo G. Romero in Austin, TX on February 23, 1953. Maria loved to educate children and retired from Headstart Coordinator after many years of service. She took care of everyone, friend or family. Maria loved to fish, ride motorcycles, play marbles and express her artistic talents and be a wonderful companion, best friend and wife to Pablo.
Maria is survived by her loving husband Pablo; 3 sons; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 2 brothers; 3 sisters; many dear family and friends.
