Loretta Heins

December 2, 1934 — October 13, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of LORETTA MARIE HEINS announces her passing on Friday, October 13, 2023 in Abilene, Texas, at the age of 88 years. A memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at First Central Presbyterian Church of Abilene

She was born December 2, 1934 to Augustinio and Rose Badiali in Camden, New Jersey. In 1953, she married Alexander W. Tschaar and they had five children. The family moved to Okinawa, Japan in 1964 while "Al" was stationed there with the United States Air Force. They're youngest child was born there.

Loretta enjoyed cooking and baking from scratch, mastering the art of painting with watercolors, sewing, crafting, and traveling with her second husband, the love of her life, Charles Heins, whom she married in 1992.

Loretta made time for everyone. She always provided support and love for her family and truly believed that, "Family is everything." She will be lovingly remembered by her children Tina (Gary), Alex (Ramona), Mike (Brenda), Thom (Mary), and Gus (Valerie); her youngest brother, Augustine Badiali, and many dear friends.

She will also be fondly remembered by her seven grandchildren, Matt (Sarah), April, Monica, Marshall (Christina), Christopher, Hayden, and Jake.

Loretta boasted lovingly of her nine great-grandchildren, Garrett, Sadie, Grayson, Houston, Holter, Triston, Aden, Mason, and Maddox.

Loretta was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Charles Heins; her parents; brothers John and Joe; sisters-in-law; and her grandson, Johnathan Tschaar, whom she dearly loved.

There will be a Memorial Service led by Reverend Cliff Stewart at First Central Presbyterian Church, 402 Orange Street in Abilene, Texas at 2:00 p.m.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers and support from many friends and family, including the amazing team at Hendrick Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to Hendrick Hospice or the Presbyterian Medical Mission where Loretta volunteered for a number of years.
