It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Loeum Sim, aged 69, who departed this life peacefully on April 6, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Baird, Texas. Born on May 8, 1956, Loeum was a devoted mother and will be cherished and remembered by her family and friends for her kindness and unwavering spirit.

Loeum leaves behind Three beloved daughters, Siyan Thong, Souphy Deardorff, and Carolyn Em who will honor her memory as they carry forward the values of love, compassion, and strength that she instilled in them.

Visitation will be held in her honor on April 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Elmwood Funeral Home, located at 5750 Hwy 277 South, Abilene, TX 79606. Those wishing to pay their respects to Loeum are invited to join family and friends as they gather to celebrate a life well-lived.

We invite those who knew Loeum to reflect on the beautiful moments shared and the impact she had on their lives. While her physical presence will be missed, her love will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
