Lindell Crow

November 22, 1930 — February 2, 2023

Lindell "Corkey" Crow, of Abilene passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023, in Abilene.
A visitation will be held Sunday, February 5, from 2:00-4:00pm in the Elmwood Funeral Home's Family Center, 5750 US HWY 277 S. Abilene. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 6, at 11:00am, in the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park.
Corkey was born on November 22, 1930, to John Wesley Crow, Sr. and Gladys Lucille Crow in Del Valle, Tx. He married the love of his life Minnie Ketner on July 31, 1953. Together they built a legacy that will continue for generations to come. Corkey joined the United States Air Force and served for 20 years as a Master Sergeant before retiring. He was a mechanic and worked for Western Trailor for several years. He and his wife enjoyed traveling the country together, from Alaska to Florida. He was a member of the Good Sam Club, and a founding member of Brook Hollow Christian Church where he and his wife were active and dedicated members. Corkey enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping, but above all he loved his family.
Corkey is preceded in death by his wife, parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and grandson, Jonathan Tschaar.
Corkey is survived by his children, Brenda Tschaar and husband Mike, Debbie Essinger and husband Jim, Steven Crow and wife Sheree; grandchildren, Matt Tschaar and wife Sarah, Chance Essinger and girlfriend Adrianna Dunk, Tara Douglas and husband Corey, Courtney Chavez and husband Tony, Kelsey Riewe and husband Reed; great grandchildren, Sadie Tschaar, Houston Tschaar, Holter Tschaar, Theo Douglas, Jack Chavez, Isabell Chavez, Kylie Chavez, Jameson Chavez, and Braxton Riewe; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank Visiting Angels, Hendrick Hospice Care, and his caregivers that made all the difference in the past year and a half.
