Leona “Lee” Hisey, 89, of Abilene, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020 in Abilene.

A private funeral service will be held at Elmwood Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park.

Lee was born on November 1, 1930 in Monett, Missouri to the late Neal Robinson and Maude Huckaby Robinson. She married Curtis Hisey on August 15, 1951 and they were blessed with 46 years together until his passing on December 2, 1997. Lee worked as a homemaker until her children were older and then worked 30 years as an elementary kitchen manager and trainer for AISD. Lee was a long-time member of Trinity Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. Her love of children was evident by her service at church and AISD. Lee also loved flowers and preparing her home for holidays for her family to enjoy. Her family and friends who will remember her strong faith and servant’s heart will dearly miss Lee.

Lee is survived by her 3 children, Keith Hisey and wife Robbye, Randy Hisey and wife Marcia, Lisa Love Williams and husband Ronald; grandchildren, Shane Hisey, Heather McDaniel, Spenser Hisey, Sterling Hisey, Logan Hisey, Bradley Love, Alan Love, Josiah Williams; 3 great grandchildren; brother, John Robinson and wife Pat; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Lee was also preceded in death by 3 siblings, Jerry Robinson, Toni Meyers, Neal Robinson.
