Laura Fackelman

Laura Fackelman 69, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, in Abilene, Texas. A visitation will be held on Tuesday December 13, 2022, from 5-7 PM at Elmwood Funeral Home 5750 US-277 S. Mrs. Fackelman's wishes were to have no funeral service. Laura was born in Brownwood, Texas on May 18 ,1953.

Laura graduated from Cooper High School in 1971. She went on to graduate from McMurry with her Bachelor of Science in 1975. She also attended and graduated from ACU with her Master's in education in 1980. Laura was a Spanish teacher at Breckenridge High School. She was known as "Srta" in the school halls by all the students she taught. Laura loved attending all the sporting events in Breckenridge she was a big supporter of the Buckaroos. Laura had an eye for unique items. She loved her collection of teddy bears. Laura was little but feisty and she had an amazing sense of humor. Laura was known as "Nanny" to her three nephews.

Laura is survived by her sister Gail Smith, nephew Case his wife Mystal Jackson their daughters Kamry, Hailee, nephew Nic Jackson his children Ashley, Hannah, and Garrison, nephew Gavin Jackson his children Deagan, and Analyn.

Laura is preceded in death by her father Martin Fackelman and mother Hedy Fackelman.
