Keith Louise Jobe Witt passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025. She was born on October 19, 1925, in Hamlin, Texas, to Flonnie Lillian Collins Jobe and Aaron Wallace Jobe.
Keith recently celebrated a remarkable milestone—her 100th birthday—on October 20, 2025. The occasion was joyfully shared with family and friends at Windcrest in Abilene, where she was also honored and recognized by the Mayor of Abilene in celebration of her century of life.
She attended Wise Chapel School and was a graduate of Hamlin High School. In 1945, Keith married the love of her life, Dean Witt. Together they built a life rooted in family and community, eventually moving to Abilene in 1966. Keith worked at Montgomery Ward and later with Hamlin ISD, and she was a faithful member of First Methodist Church.
Keith had a love for life’s simple joys. She was a devoted Dallas Cowboys and Red Raiders fan and especially enjoyed cheering on her grandchildren at sporting events. She and Dean were active members of the Abilene Bowling Association and also cherished time spent playing bridge with friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Flonnie and Aaron Jobe, and by two brothers, W.A. Jobe and Emil Farmer and a sister, Nelda Rollins.
Keith is survived by her sister, Hoylene Slabaugh; her sister-in-law, Connie Jobe; a daughter, Sheri Walton (Stan); one granddaughter, Stephanie Clark (Wade); one grandson, Stacy Walton; four great-grandsons, Kaleb Clark (Sabryna), Aaron Clark, Brady Clark, and Gage Walton; two great-granddaughters, Chelsea and Alexi Walton; and one great-great-grandson, Tracen—all of whom she loved and adored deeply.
Keith brought dedication, heart, and joy to everything she did. Throughout her life, she remained a shining example of strength, grace, love, and perseverance, and she will be fondly remembered and dearly loved by all who knew her.
