Katherine Cole

Katherine Ann Cole, 93, of Abilene, Texas, peacefully passed away on January 18, 2025, after a short illness. Born on September 26, 1931, in Bath, Maine, she lived a full life, making memories in places like Lexington Park, Maryland, and Elizabethton, Tennessee, before settling in Abilene.

Katherine was a proud graduate of Morse High School and cherished her family above all else. She leaves behind her beloved son, Chester McMahan (Patty), and daughter, Melissa Alkins (John), along with six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom will deeply miss her warmth and love. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy, and three of her children, Sally, Richard, and Michael.
