Katherine Brown

Katherine M. Brown, 89, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 in Abilene. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday in the Garden of Grace at Elmwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South.

Katherine was born on January 4, 1919 in Abilene the daughter of Henry L. Howlett and Aurora T. Polnac Howlett. She was the widow of Forrest Brown Sr. who passed away in 1985. Katherine loved to visit and be around people, she enjoyed gardening, cooking sewing.

Survivors include her children, Brenda Phillips and husband Lowell of Abilene, Forrest Brown Jr. and wife Anita of Coppell, and Kay Fleming and husband Bill of Abilene; and four grandchildren, Chris Loya of Los Colinas, Venneshia Strickland and Bobby Noble both of Abilene, and Charlotte Fields of Oregon.
